ZOTAC is organizing weekly tournaments for WC3, FIFA, DOTA and SC:BW with a prize money of 100€. Now it was announced that

Quake Live will also be supported from now on. Over 100 successful WC3 Cups shows their long term commitment.

The first QL tournament's page will be going online this Friday and the sign-ups will open on the 27th. The cup will then start on the 4th of October.

After seeing two divisions qualify for Team USA at the 2009 WCG US National Finals,

Team Evil Geniuses has released their full collection of videos from the event. Now posted on YouTube in HD, the collection contains a variety of interviews and match footage from both the

Counter-Strike 1.6 and

StarCraft tournaments.

The interviews feature all of the different players, from CS superstar

Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert to 2nd place SC finisher

David "Louder" Fells, with hosts Kristina "Korini" Chin and Anna Prosser asking the questions. The match footage is limited to the Counter-Strike tournament, but captures everything from the shocking loss in the first round of the brackets to the team's celebration upon winning the grand finals on the main stage.

ESL welcomes 16 Star Players to Dubai (339 comments)

The ESL just announced their 16 invites for the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge Dubai from 17th to 19th October 2009, those 16 players will face each other in four groups of four players each and the top two of each group will reach the playoffs, which will be a eight player single elimination ko-stage. They also announced a change of prize money, because due the large amount of interest and sign ups the amount of players was increased from 12 to 16.

Tonight the last qualifier for the Intel Extreme Masters American Championship will start and with it the last chance for players to qualify for the American Championship. Again 64 players in a single elimination bracket will battle for the last two slots. Tonight starting at 20:00 CDT the first three rounds will be played, the remaining rounds will be played tomorrow, also starting at 20:00 CDT.

Update: The final is not scheduled yet, we will update the news as soon as a date is available.

Today we are proud to once again present the DreamHack On Tour 2009 Qualifications in Serbia. This time a total of 17 players will win the trip of a life time! Two Counter-Strike 1.6 teams, one DotA team, one Quakelive player will win a payed trip and the chance to compete in the big tournaments of the DreamHack Winter 2009 in Sweden.

4Game.rs will be organizing several qualifiers for Serbian and European teams for DreamHack Winter 2009. After successful summer qualifier we decided to make much bigger qualifications. Beside Serbian Counter-Strike qualifier, we have added Serbian Dota and Quake Live qualifications as well as European Counter-Strike qualifications. Take the chance to win a trip of a life time!

Yesterday more details were released about the upcoming EMS5 Quakelive TDM 4v4 Qualifications. During the next 4 Sundays of October (starting this weekend!), 4 cups will grant 4 teams each a slot for the EMS5 to reach the total of 16 teams. All the qualifiers will be played using Single Elimination brackets and best-of-3 matches. The sign-ups for each of them are already open!

The Electronic Sports League is proud to announce that Quake Live will be part of the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge Dubai. The event will feature a 12 player (might be reduced to 8) Tournament with Quake Live players from all over the world fighting for a share of $6,500 prize money. The event will be held at the Gitex Shopper from 17th to 19th October. The tournament will be played on LAN Servers provided by id Software.

Also everyone interested in participation and flying to Dubai can apply on the ESL website until 08:00 CDT, 2 October 2009.

More details about the schedule and confirmed players will be released prior to the event in the next two weeks.

The fifth season of the ESL Major Series has been announced about a week ago, including Quake Live 4v4 TDM with a pricepool of 1,000 € . After an outcry by parts of the community, the ESL is considering other gamemodes and even started an inofficial poll to get some community feedback.

Tonight the first Qualifier for the Intel Extreme Masters will take place at 17:00 CDT, 20 September 2009. All players will meet on

#esl.quakelive. The tournament will feature 32 players and the top two will be invited for the American Championship.

There is also good news for everyone who missed the sign up of the first cup, the qualifiers cups #2, #3 and #4 were expanded to 64 players, because the 32 slots were already filled yesterday. So now is you chance to still sign up to qualify for the Intel Extreme Masters.
