Watch Quakecon at Meltdown Bar in London (103 comments)

fnx had a talk with the manager of the Meltdown gaming pub in London and it seems that we've been blessed with a place to watch Quakecon together.

The place is pretty nice (I visited it as well) and it's relatively close to King's Cross station. Since we still don't know the exact tournament schedule it is hard to arrange a time to meet up. The pub opens at 5 and knowing NA's timezone I'd assume the games will be already rolling at 5 BST. So the earlier, the better.

Keep in mind that if we manage to gather a decent amount of people we could draw the attention of the pub to the arena shooter scene, and therefore hopefully getting a venue for some other events.

On the weekend of 11-12 July, FACEIT and EGB.com will be bringing you the annual Road2QuakeCon tournaments, with a total prize purse of $5,000.

On Saturday 11 July, The FACEIT Road2Quakecon Duel invitational will take place, with

toxic and noctis fighting for $2,500! The players will be placed in two groups, fully played in a best-of-three format. The top two players of each group head into the best-of-five single elimination playoffs.

The day after will see the four European teams which are heading to QuakeCon competing in TDM, CTF and Duel.

Meltdown,

Deliberate Murder will face off in a single elimination bracket, with the teams first facing off in a best-of-three TDM game, followed by a best-of-three CTF game. The winner of each Best of three mode will gain 1 point. If teams are tied , both teams will select a dueller to determine the winner in a best-of-three Duel. The teams will be playing for a $2,500 prize purse.

RESPECT THE PACO announces its lineup for the QuakeCon 2015 Tri-Master Championship.

Chance "Chance" Lacina

The lineup consists of duel expert Chance who's also a QuakeCon veteran with multiple top 8 finishes. The rest of the lineup is specialized in CTF which is Madrigal, t1g and eXodus.

But wait, there's more! You too can RESPECT THE PACO with the exclusive T-Shirt. We will be wearing this if we get at least 6 shirts sold (4 will be bought by us and 10 is the minimum for production). Available in multiple colors in Size S up to XXL. (Delivery 10-15 days). But where do i get this?

Hello everyone,

I really do not like to ask this, but I will take my courage to do so. I do not think for myself, but for my team. As you might know, we are playing for Igamerz, which can pay us the travel in order to partcipate to Quakecon. Nonetheless, we've been told that it is a better option to ask for donation for the Hotel. (As far as I know it is near 900-1200 $ for the Hotel but I'm not sure exactly, as we can have some reduction.

A friend of mine asked me kindly to share a room with his friends as they needed one more to pay the hotel, so it would less to pay for the team. I ask this for my 3 team mates + manager (Clawz, silencep and Cypher + Surion (known as pussychevsky ;)). Would you be kind enough to help us, and I swear that I really don't like to go this far. I appreciate and I hope we will do good in this event.

This Sunday the weather is forecast to be rainy, so why not play in another multi-team pickup, also known as #tdmpickup Draft Tournament!

The 10th tournament we've hosted gathered 92 players forming 23 teams. You can watch VODs at Flair TV and Level Up TV. Spoiler: it was won by team pecka (pecka, lethiferous, Apollo440 and Batu1), followed by team empish and "team Harry" ;) who were awarded paintings and postcards signed by the most acclaimed Quake painter,

vikatje. Some action shots!

Our 11th Cup in this series will start at 10:00 CDT, 17 May 2015. Signups will start at 09:00 CDT, 17 May 2015 and will last for one hour.

We'll try the incomplete DE format once again, and to motivate you to play until the last game, there's again a prize for third place!

All players are invited to participate, but remember, each player has to play at least 10 TDM pickups prior to the tournament. Please warm up by playing with us all week!
