LAST CHANCE TO QUALIFY FOR MSI BEATIT (323 comments)
Posted by M05 @ 07:12 CDT, 27 October 2010 - iMsg
UPDATED: Postponed qualifier #2 will be hosted on Saturday, 30th with the start at 17:00 CET. This was because it clashed with the Dreamhack Qualifier, which has now been changed from 14:00 start to 13:00 CET.

As many of the players required, we have moved Qualifier #2 to Saturday, 30th of October. Seeing as there is IEM night on Wednesday and some players have to commit to their work and other non e-sports related stuff, we have met their need and postponed the qualifier.

This last qualifier will however differ from previous two as not 4 players will qualify for MSI BEAT IT QuakeLive tournament at DreamHack, but 3 slots will be available for Sweden. The reason is the confirmed invitation of Netherlands Sander "Vo0" Kaasjager, famous Quake player.

Qualifier on Saturday will be played in best-of-three format from the beginning just like the previous one. Level UP Tv will of course be there to provide stream for your viewing pleasure.

Video: reload on his way to the IEM (45 comments)
Posted by swine @ 15:33 CDT, 26 October 2010 - iMsg
The EPS-Player Germany Philipp "reload" Kotecki participated as one of the underdogs in the last chance qualifier for the European Mainround of the 5th Intel Extreme Masters season. During that tournament he had to play against a few of the top players, like another EPS-Player Germany Sebastian "abso" Wanek or Italy Alessandro "stermy" Avallone. stermy was his opponent in the semi-final and reload managed to put up a decent fight against the italian powerhouse. He also had to face the Dignitas player United Kingdom Dan "zsx" Sanders.

Germany Fragster.de took his demos from both games and uploaded them as videos.

Level Up TV announce their DHW2010 Plans (35 comments)
Posted by lolvc @ 06:29 CDT, 18 October 2010 - iMsg
Level Up TV announce the plans to celebrate their one year anniversary this November 2010; a team to travel and provide live on-site video coverage of not one, but two Dreamhack Winter 2010 Quakelive Tournaments!

1. Fnatic Play MSI BEAT-IT 1v1 Tournament on the 25th November 2010.
2. Dreamhack's own Kaspersky 1v1 Tournament on the 26th and 27th November 2010.

As an organisation, we are well aware of the difficulties that broadcasters often face when initially taking on the huge task of covering live events on-site, and as such we wouldn’t want to over promise and underachieve. However with an unquenchable thirst for coverage we can with full confidence promise to provide both our HQ and LQ livestream with special guest commentary from both pro-gamers and James "2GD" Harding (When we can get him away from the Stunlock Studios Stand!).

In addition to this, being on site will allow us to provide the supplementary video-on-demand content following the event that we've not yet previously had the opportunity to work on - such as; group interviews, Exhibition video tours and our teams evening antics to display that unique festival atmosphere DreamHack is so famous for.

If you have any comments regarding specific improvements we could make to our existing video streams, or any ideas on how you think we should cover DreamHack Winter 2010 then please direct your comments to levelupyourgame@gmail.com or reply to this post.

This is our first live event and as such, our team are financing this on our own terms. However if you have thoroughly enjoyed the coverage we have brought to you thus far and would like to contribute toward the costs of the additional equipment we require to move toward live event coverage for the forseeable future then please, we welcome all donations through our counter on the right hand side of our website and here: http://leveluptv.chipin.com/leveluptv-dreamhack
