Having wondered what an African themed frag video might look like for a long time, I decided to put together some frags into a video as a side project during lock-down last year. Although, I didn't have enough content to finish it until now.
"From Africa" is a collection of frags by myself ( manic) in various modes in public games, in South Africa and South East Asia.
This is a retrospective of frags from 2011 to 2014.
I hung up my railgun for good a long time ago, however I wanted to make something special to commemorate all those awesome people and games. This is dedicated to all those people who put in hours enjoying AusQL in those years.
Thank you everyone for the memories!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you watch it in 4K or AT LEAST 1440p because youtube's shitty quality with 1080p and lower may ruin your experience, you can also download it which is the best option in my opinion.

Quake III DeFRaG run on a fantasy puzzle map. This is a very interesting single player experience. There are two random puzzles that are different on each run, so you have to learn the patterns and act quickly in order to solve them as fast as possible. Special thanks to SOCK for designing this fantastic map.
Quake III DeFRaG run on a medival speed map. The idea behind this project was to make the world feel like it’s possessed by dark forces. Special thanks to IMOOR for designing this beautiful map but also to ace & zerosignal for their feedback.
Quake III DeFRaG run on a mystical tech map. The aim for the video was to take the viewer on a journey through this unknown world by creating a metaphysical atmosphere. Special thanks to Nemix for designing this gorgeous map but also to ace & zerosignal for their support.
