After a month of intense production Korean moviemaker Quaky has finished his third installment of the Fragarea series. This latest creation focuses on competitions from Quakecon 2005 up to and including the CPC2. Much like it’s pre-decessors this Fragarea focuses on the big hits that players make in order to lead their team to victory.

The guys from #digitalbrutality are glad to release their latest CPM tricking movie, called momentum. Our Finnish friends mew and sopp4 (who also produced the movie) show some hot and innovative tricks on the original CPM maps as well as on b0_beta6. All tricks were performed in CPMA with default CPM physics and server configs (not DeFRaG). The movie runs about 6:10mins and weights 193MB in size (DivX codec), a higher quality version is to be released soon.

A traditional RocketArena3 frag highlights video. Lots of mid-air rocket and rail frags sycned to the music of Sonic Mayhem. It runs 9 minutes 19 seconds.

Finally, after being announced on November the 11th, 2006 by SNP, by means of a Trailer release, First Contact is finally upon us! Featuring frags from the entire community (initially being a SNP-only movie, SNP decided to make a community movie out of it, with the help from BRUNS). I consider this movie a tribute to Warsow 0.21, it is one of those fragmovies that really makes you want to play and enjoy the game, and which makes you realize why you do!

The editting, use of the (minimally available) cameras really come together great, and accompanied by the theatrical soundtrack, this is a movie not to forget! The quality of the frags, quality of editting, synching and the visual effects are very good, and they make Warsow 0.2 look better then it ever has. The high quality of the compression with the crazy color effects make this movie a visual trip!

Our Russian friend and fellow CPM player xano0ch just released his latest CPM movie, called TV. The man himself describes his project as follows:

"If quake movies were shown on tv, you would see something like this.
This video is made up from 2 types of scenes. First type is marked by 8 digit (including the scene @ route88 map). This is what I really enjoyed making and thats what I find interesting in other quake movies.
Second type is marked by Frag TV logo and this type is simply a frag part.
The runtime of both types of scenes is almost equal.
Enjoy."

The movie is a hommage to ETF how fun it is and was in the past. The movie contains mostly funny scenes, with bloopers, unexpected team kills and so other action.

Ever since the second movie in the Dag & Def Extreme series was released, people have been longing for a third movie on the very same theme. For those of you who aren't familiar with the series i can tell you that it features stunning frags and really awesome tricks made by the dynamic duo Dag and Def.

Having been "a work five years in planning", the third part is finally here and it seems like it lives up to the massive hype created in the community. The bits and pieces of this action packed movie have been put together with brilliant editing skills by Pez and it has already received judgements like "The best QW movie I have ever seen". While remembering the last big QW movie, Kyu One, that says quite a lot.

The length of the movie is approximately 20 minutes and the size of it is fairly heavy. It comes in two flavours, a light weight version on 779Mb and a top notch quality version on 1,5Gb. It is a must download despite the file size though as you really don't want to miss this!

The gaming related site gamevideos.com recently published a video interview with Robin Walker who was part of the TFC developer team and currently works on Team Fortress 2. The interview is basically about the game play of TF2 and compares it to its predecessor TFC. Robin explains exactly why Valve decided to do some changes to the original game play and concept of Team Fortress.

There is lots of new in game content in this video interview. Apart from new maps you will see how the Medic can heal team mates or his invincibility mode. You will also see the invisibility mode of the Spy and some Engineer related stuff.
