devs puts more time into developing new features rather than fixing the issues at hand.
They never said that new maps would be free and isn't that what you were writing with "This is what they had in mind and told us at first". And yes it makes a difference.
"They charge for everything they can." - Last time I checked it is still possible to play QL without a subscription.
Now, I understand that you are hoping that such a deal would mabye attract more players, and it is realistic to some degree.
But I can say one thing for sure: Even less people will take that new offer, as it has less incentive. People would find something else to complain about and justify them just playing the free version.
Id would make less money and would be more likely to pull the plug due to financial reasons.
They told us, at first, the game would be totally free, except for some premium features. And where on earth are maps considered such features, especially if they were available for free in quake 3.
f id would ever do this, why should people be disgusted by it? On top of that, one crucial complaint would be nullified: the "why-have-to-pay-for-maps-freely-available-since-almost 10 years-in-Quake3-?-complaint"
"especially if they were available for free in quake 3."
"IMO they should offer features for premium that really justify paying for them"
"PRO is just another way to squeeze more money (actually double the price) out of the cashcows."
"Always better, IMO, than this disgrace to the quake series "
I only demand that they provide us with a proper game that meets all the requirements
"every day" is down ( servers/page/whatever )
