Tomorrow, January 9, Microsoft is going to release a public beta of what is supposed to be the next big thing in operating systems: Windows 7. As many users were really disappointed in Windows Vista, which was only released 2 years ago, Microsoft promised to listen closely to feedback and improve their OS around the wishes of the Windows community. Windows 7 is said to be faster and easier to use than former versions and comes with a bunch of new features for the desktop, including new software such as Internet Explorer 8.
* Windows 7
* New features
* Videos
* Windows 7 Beta demo video from CES 2009
Apparently the number of downloads will be limited to 2.5 million copies, and the beta will stop working on August 1, 2009. So better be quick to download it once it is released (probably evening hours in Europe).
