The Polish and Swedish server launch last week for Quake Live has been anything but smooth. The Polish server had routing problems and merely hours after the launch the Swedish servers suffered a hardware failure and has been down ever since.
However, now the Swedish servers are up and running again and another new Polish server location has been added (this time around apparently without the routing problems). Yet the freshly relaunched Swedish (Stockholm) based servers are still suffering from severe routing problems. Reportedly people who live right next to the server get routed all the way from Stockholm to Norway to Turkey and finally to Russia.
Nevertheless is great to see id make headway with the new server locations and it should be just a matter of time before this issue is resolved.
