And they fuck up your muscle memory, so it is better to use one sens for all weapons like normal people do :)

If you play with high sens its stupid to have high sens for LG. I have no idea how players like rapha or avek can even aim.

Anyway, any person can aim very well with any kind of mouse sensitivity settings - either their are high or low - if he doesn't use any kind of acceleration.

Nevertheless, even when a person uses acceleration, he can still aim very well (killsen, av3k or cypher would be a known example).

In your case, I would either lower the acceleration or the sensitivity (or only m_yaw) to a smaller value or I would start thinking my head and really focus on my position and my weapon choice, asquake isn't about reflexes after all as it is about what decisions you make and in what conditions you are to take a fight.

P.S. Please, show us that you have balls and stop copying other person's settings (which even doesn't suit you well I guess) and pick up your own, even crazier and unique settings, with which you can pwn people

Plus I understand the fact that you are making a sensitivity lowering script while holding a fire key (which is quite old to be honest and already written in thousand of ways, which all work the same way and they all have the same issues), but from my personal experience you are just wasting your time, as this kind of scripts won't make your LG any better.

My mouse settings are enterily different, I use 3.25 sens with little accel. You asked "what I meant under high sens" and I pasted rapha's cfg which I consider a top player yo uses high sens.

you use the exact same fovs as rapha and cypher (102-103 and 93-95 as stated on the other thread), the same sens as cypher and then bought the same mouse and mousepad rapha uses. It's obvious.

but I don't care if people use weird scripts like the one you posted, I just haven't met any decent aimer yet who relies on stuff like that. Keeping it simple is the better solution imo if you don't want to mess up your game.

It's not that hard once you get used to it.

changing sens on +attack probably isn't ever a good idea, but you can do other interesting things with the script. like fov/crosshair change on +attack or maybe nudge.

So you have +attack held down with the rocket launcher.

Then you hit the key to switch to LG.

With the 'normal' script that lowers the sens only when firing the LG, the sensitivity will _not_ change upon switching to the LG, so if you keep holding the button down you will be firing the LG at the regular sens and not the lowered sens.

The attack key will have to be released, and pressed again for the lowered sens when firing the LG to take effect.

Assuming this is not desired, the fix is to make an event trigger for when the attack key is being held down. This event trigger changes an alias issued by the LG key to issue a sensitivity adjustment identical to the one made by +Lgfire.

So in pseudoscript:

For attacking:

+attack ; alias trigger lowsens
-attack ; alias trigger normalsens

LG select key:

trigger ; makeAttackKeyLowerTheSens ; weapon 6

However, since we use a trigger command, I assume it is not possible to have different settings for each weapon, as you can't predict which weapon to be selected.

You could define different attacktriggers..

Are you saying that you wish to use a different sensitivity _while_ firing with the railgun than there would be had you just selected the railgun.

So you want a +attack sens script for both the railgun and the LG and have the sens be different?

No of course not. I used a bad example. I just wanted to know if we could get the same behavior with different weapons.

Something was going wrong actually.
Sometimes the lg settings werent getting away when switching to another weapon while firing.

I figured it was because I did not defined the different triggers on the lg.

So, here is the corrected, final version working flawlessly : +attack script

I don't think it's possible, but try adding -attack to each weapon key, this will make it stop firing upon weapon change and force you to click again, thus activating the +attack settings

Lots of problems when changing to another weapon while pressing mouse1, autoswitch when out of ammo etc.
