i agree here quite a lot, some quakers act like they're the hottest shit in the world

It's more of a rule than an exception that this happens in young people who think they achieve something. Since the rush of winning against one pro, even if its only one game in one hundred, it can trigger these feelings in some young, insecure and previously unsuccessful people. It's pretty fucking annoying when someone gets stuck in this mindset. But it also helps creates characters and rivalries. So from a spectators perspective I believe this phenomenon is actually really good. As a player who have to deal with these big ego´s it can be both frustrating and hilarious.

Trolling people that "suffer" from this condition is so much more rewarding than others since they absolutely cannot see themselves from another perspective. They are 100% stuck in their own little ego box.

Maybe it's being born in youth, ye, but it's such a shame when it lasts for long time

If you earn a buck or two, people watch you out of entertainment- you do kind of matter. You might not be the second coming of Jesus but it is still an achievement worth being proud of.

I don't think that only people pushing forward the scientific frontier deserve recognition, but pretty much everyone who contributes anything to society. Be it a janitor cleaning a public bathroom, musicians making a tune you can't get out of your head and which makes you feel good or k1llsen hitting 70% rail and making you smile.

If the president dies tomorrow the world wont change a single bit. People will say it does but it has no impact on 99.99% of the population of the world. If I die tomorrow, my family and friends will mourn me. Everyone matters.

Sure we all want to be treated respectfully by everyone who cross our paths, but eventually it becomes obvious that not everyone has sensibility enough to act with manners before/after games.

So basically start not giving a fuck about them. Thats how I get by with the sore losers (and winners that lose by odd chance for that matter) that I meet.

One thing I learned is that what was important in your life is always revealed afterwards. Quake brought me to places and acquaintances which were crucial for some turn or another and I would be a different person without it.
