Style is more important than raw graphical power, if you do something well, it will look good regardless of what hardware its on, and its been like this for a long time.

If all you do is try and mirror reality, you'll have to wait a LONG ass time to get anything much better than what Crysis was doing nearly 10 years ago.

Even the best of the best realistic graphics look like cheesy cartoons.
