My config does pretty much look like shit. I should improve that. I notice a lot of good players using like high picmip really dark looking map with bright looking models. Any tips on how to get that effect?

then reduce the value of r_mapOverBrightCap

personally, i like different caps for each map. specifically, maps like asylum and trinity are way too bright in some places with the default 255 value.

I had r_overbrightbits 1, and r_mapOverBrightCap 145.
