I have updated the map using another more accurate geo-ip API. It has added about 20 new markers and names for all cities.

Wish there were some servers in central/north africa along the west coast, a server in between Europe and South Africa would be epic, could easily get ~75 ping each way.

On that point, our big cable that heads to europe should land in Portugal, but I ping better to the UK or Holland, wtf. If it landed in Portugal I might ping 120, which is not great, but is probably playable.

i'd say that you are wrong, i live in North Africa, my ping to South Africa is 350 which is the same as to Australia, my ping in usa is half the ping i get in South Africa.

I ping 150 to london right now. There is a direct line up the west coast. Anything placed on that line should have a fairly decent ping. Most likely from Tunisia you probably first need to get to Europe and then down to South Africa, which is why the ping is so high, it's not the distance though, rather the lack of cables.

You are right, my bad :) but again, my ping in europe is 60 - 90 ( depends on the location ) but thats pretty much what most North African countries ping to europe ( seen ppl from Algeria and Egypt, they ping worse than i do )

Terrible, pretty much anywhere in africa apart from Southern Africa. I assume that places like Ghana and Senegal just don't have the infrastructure. Unfortunately I know of no one in these countries that play games that could look into finding out which ISP or server center connects to the WACS cable.

As I mentioned though I find it odd that I ping better to the UK than to Portugal, so I think there might be other barriers at play. I.E. The countries up the west coast don't connect to WACS at all, and the line just goes straight to the UK. Or the switchboard is in the UK (Or SA), meaning anyone connecting on this route has to go through London or Cape Town. This is a list of countries I've pinged:

As you can see, ping gets lower the closer the countries get to London. This shows me everything from SA connects to Europe through London, which sucks! If we had a direct connection to Portugal or Spain we would ping 50ms less.

I guess we have to say thanks to SyncError and the likes for killing the French QL community. It was the first country of europe in terms of numbers of players in 2008-2009. Now there is barely any servers and they are all in Paris.

Mexico, Colombia and other Middle American countries have zero servers, no wonder. Back there you go out on the street and you're already in the middle of hardcore TDM/FFA. Same goes from Africa where in real life you can pick up powerups better than in QL - AIDS or EBOLA for example. Sadly they're lifelong pickups with infinite respawn.
