Actually I'm pretty sure I read the same thing somewhere, and since the President who commissioned it was a freemason of some kind it sounds plausible when you consider their obsession with sacred geometry. 666 is not necessarily alluding to any kind of Christian reference since I'm fairly sure it's almost a significant magickal number to those who care about such.
