I personally haven't played with it, but according to it's description it's basically a really tightly woven fabric. So based on it's description it's probably about as smooth as an allsop, if not smoother.

A handstands supermat is a large cloth pad that offers some decent friction.

it's a thick cloth pad, compared to glass and plastic it's is going to offer the most friction.

There is a difference between smoothness and friction anyway.
