I doubt he thought it was that funny. Anything but a top result (nevermind the fact that the best euros weren't even there) is going to effect his image and therefore his ability to market himself and make money. I don't think a businessman as savvy as Fatal1ty finds potentially lower profits funny in the least.
As for the expression on his face (referring to the comment below) I would call that fear, but if you call that happiness then I would say it's not hard to control your emotions enough to put on a face that people interpret as happiness if you know your reputation (and therefore cashflow) is on the line. That's what businessmen do.
For the record I've got nothing against Fatal1ty and commend him for attempting to raise the profile of esports. I just think he's a bit obsessed with profit and this photo is funny.
Here is a picture of Rush Limbaugh smiling after getting arrested for illegally obtaining drugs. Do you think he was happy to be arrested for illegally obtaining drugs when he had criticized drug users many times on his radio show? Of course not so he flashed a fake smile out of nervousness in order to maintain a facade of control for his fanbase. It's not that hard to do and it happens all the time, why is it so hard for people to see that this may be what Fatal1ty is doing?
Of course I can't say for sure that that's what he's doing (and you can't say that that's not what he's doing), but it looks to me like that's what he's doing (especially after having listened to all his plans for esports market domination over the years).
Damn I thought Fat fanboyism was out of style but I guess not. And please don't label me a Fat hater, I'm just a realist. And wtf does it matter what he does with that card, he's probably got dozens of them lying around the house as paperweights. The fact that he tried to turn that embarrassing moment into an opportunity to act benevolent towards his brother just makes it all the more embarrassing.
Believe it or not, Fatal1ty does have a sense of humour and I can bet that he sees how the situation in the photo is amusing. I know because I know him in person and I can by no means be called a Fatal1ty fanboy.
Yes of course, he can't see that's it's amusing him winning a sound card from his own brand, even if he didn't come out on top in the tournament. Impossible!
