and using arrow keys, and playing with a 12ms tft at home, yet he's one of the best... people who think equipment matters should just look at ScrMz and realise it's not that important :P
Well the copperhead is fine as long as it doesn't skip on him. There's nothing wrong with that mouse's precision as long as it doesn't skip. I used to use arrow keys way back in the day too before I realized that it's just nicer to use WASD or RDFG. As for the 12ms lcd, that's not a big deal as long as you're used to it. If you're coming from a nice Diamondtron CRT that does 120hz at the resolution you want and then moving to an LCD that ghosts like retarded crazy, then yea, it's going to throw you off. But when you're used to it, like another quaker that I know of that plays on a 15" 12ms LCD that ghosts like a bitch and happens to be rather good, then yea, it's not going to hinder you now is it?
The biggest complaint that I would personally have with his equipment is his monitor, which would be a step back from what I'm personally used to. But it doesn't hinder him so obviously it's fine for what he needs. With equipment it's not so much what makes you the better player but more of what hinders your ability to play. His equipment doesn't hinder his ability to play and is rather comfortable with it so therefore he can focus on other things. I myself have found this out after purchasing several mice, keyboards, mousepads, wrist rests, and headphones. At the end of the day I've realized that it's what you're comfortable with and what doesn't hinder you is what makes the difference. Out of all that I have purchased I have two total setups. I have one setup here at home all the time that I'm perfectly comfortable with and I have my other set that's in my LAN bag ready to go at a moments notice. The only purchases that I will be making regarding equipment from here on out is if something that I use regularly breaks or if something comes out that I truly think would be more comfortable than what I already have.
Sorry for the Jamerio-esque post but I had to let you know I'm not some random equipment tard.
