Func pads are nice and durable.
This pad will wear out in about 3 months and lose tracking.
Cloth pads are not durable. (Qck, Qpad, Mantis, Goliathus etc)
People say everglide titan is only durable cloth pad but I havent tested that one.
My advice is buy large func and it will last you for years.

and qpad is a hybrid pad, not a cloth pad

I dont agree with the post above not every cloth pad wears out in a short time. I have a razer mantis control since 2005 and its still perfect.
Its by far the best mousepad i ever had but i dont think razer still sells it wich i guess its probably cause its so good that no one would need to buy another mousepad :D

is the speed edition slower than control edition?

from what i read, yes. the speed edition has a smoother surface therefore more surface area contacting the mouse feet meaning it has more friction.

I have the standard sized goliathus speed for 2 years now, and I'm loving it.
It is really durable, only on the the edges are very small places, where the surface begins to loosen from the bottom, but it's so tiny that it did not bother me at all by now.

I'm planning to get the alpha edition soon, as my nowadays low sens made me run out of pad a few times lately.

By the way, does anyone know what the "Fragged" in the name means? When I bought my pad there was no fragged in the name, today there seem to be only "fragged" pads available.

It's just a shitty design. I think the original looks way better.
