My best guess would be to disable (uncheck) the "Enable Steam Community In-Game" in steam's settings. There were times when PB kicked you if you had that thing running (yes, a steam game kicked you because of steam:D).

You can also try to enable UPnP in both your router and operating system.

Here is some tips. I'm still learning this game though - for example conquest mode was played by me just a few dozen times.

What they call RUSH should be called CAMP instead. i.e. there is no point in rushing at all, the whole team should advance to the objective as a whole, inch by inch, from cover to cover, no matter how much time it wil take. If you observe this - then you are playing with the good team. If you see unorganized chaotical movement toward objective - your team sucks, bettter not losing time playing with them. If you see half of the team as "snipers" - quit immediately, this is the lost cause.

If you observe cohesion in your team actions then the next step is to develop a feel for what is appropriate for you to do for any given moment. Team is pushing forward, at least 2 or 3 players are near objective and kicking - do the push to, maybe not in the same direction (flanking make wonders), but anyway be agressive. Attack of your team was countered, everybody dead or at spawns but you are still alive and near objective - be silent and wait for you squad mates to spawn on you, then when critical mass of players near objective is reached, do the push and be aggressive again.

Pistols in this game is really powerfull and in CQB they can be used against everything. Hip firing in full auto is very powerful too, develop a feeling when you should hip fire and when you should use pistol in CQB. Try to play with ACOG, cause it allows you to engage enemies from ridiculosly long distances, and when combined with firing in bursts it is deadly efficient. However, some players dislike it and swear by their ironsights. I prefer ACOG though.

Sorry, but slowly moving forward is bs :p Chaotic unorganized is always better, as long as everyone is doing it.

Actually, it's easy to break through alone. People get this notion that when they find cover they have to wait there for some predetermined amount of time because....I dunno? Just rush. Easier if you have a squad with some competent players...but just going "quake" on their camping asses works just as fine.

Snipers also are awesome in close combat...1 shot 1 kill when they're inside a certain distance. You have c4 and motion mines and a pistol that kills people with 3 shots.

Here is what I learned so far in the few games i played:

1, don't go rambo-style , you can't do much alone against skilled players

2, don't try to do things what's your class can't do, and if you need to, just change your class by picking up weapons from the floor.

3, don't forget that gravity affects bullets, so aim above at high distances:)

4, press Q like a madman to mark nme for your team, this is almost as important as shooting imo.

Use Q as often as possible to spot enemies...I now press it automatically as soon as I start shooting/see someone.

In Rush, always try to flank if you're attacking. You'll learn the different ways on the maps as you play them. When defending, try to be aggressive...usually makes the other team afraid of pushing forward because most people are stat whores :) If you see a good guy on your team who racks up a lot of frags constantly, try to follow him to see where/what he's doing.

C4 is awesome...you can throw it really far also. Look upwards at an angle and deploy and jump like 0.3 seconds after you press the mouse button.

Medic is easiest to rack up points in the beginning. Always iron sight when using medic rifles though, even in close combat. At range just do single shots and you'll easily take out snipers...just find the timing so you can fire a shot each time the weapon settles.
