so true ... I guess the best times were in the 70s (for the west) ... people had enough free time but they didn't know what to do with it ...
internet didn't exist ... and t.v. was also not really entertaining back then ... so they had to do something with their time and got political and stuff and comitted socialist terror acts, etc. ... lol, also you had to meet people in real back then, nowadays everyone just communicates online (facebook) etc., basically you just go to an event to have an adventure, but not to get any knowledge, bethanks to facebook, etc. you know the basic things anyway ... nowadays, everyone takes the t.v./internet pill and keeps silent ... also religion or ideals are non-existent, everyone is just on the career trip ... they cannot think anymore out of the box ...
Fuck the monarchy and fuck anyone who supports it. There is no excuse for having royalty these days. And fuck the apologists who pretend there's no problem with it or that it's beneficial.
Also: Kill all monarchs and stop the injustice and inequality. No family deserves to be in such a position, especially when their only claim to such wealth and power is accidentally being born in the right place.
Inheritance is simply a choice where my money and property goes to after my death. The state or society has no say in that nor should they, ever. Monarchs on the other hand are scum and monarchy is injustice. There's no more to it.
so um, you want the state and society not to have a say in where your money and property goes after your death, but you want to have a say in where the money and wealth of another family goes after their death? am i getting you correctly?
I understand that when the monarchs had absolute power, this was not the best way to deal with your chances of achieving something big, especially in political terms.
These days, things went on reverse. In democratic countries, if monarchy has some power (but not absolute power), the monarchy can at least try to reduce the implications as well as direct actions of those who are "stucked" to the nation because political mandates.
These days, when fairness and national interest, acting for the good of your fellow people are considered old fancy phantasies, these days this is something completely new and almost a necessity to have someone who thinks about his country for long term and who cares for his name.
If politicians don't care for what they left behind at the end of their mandate, real monarchs, who care for such things like honor and keeping their name clean, they care for it for the rest of their entire life.
An exceptional exception would represent Romania, where opting for monarchy would prove that the destiny of history cannot be undone. Opting for monarchy would give a devastating ideological blow to the Russian communists who abolished the monarchy in Romania when they conquered Eastern Europe. On top of this the reconnection with the old Habsburgic Dynasty would strengthen the economical and political alliances between Romania (and Eastern Europe, at a whole) and the UK.
