QL is still same game as it ever was, if you enjoyed playing it before, nothing changes, even if it has fail management. If it has no future, doesn't mean it doesn't have any present. The decline won't be instant, it will likely take some years. And then hopefully Reborn will save us.

I really wish we would get the next evolution of deathmatch FPS.


I still think the movement system in quake is mad primitive at this point. Something needs to be done to make fights more interesting.

I just let off some steam about the fact that quakecon streamed 4 hours of Carmack talking whilst almost the entire duel tournament was played without being streamed. Then they cast demos after all the games had been played and most people already knew the results. Like that makes up for it. Basically I called them all retarded braindead morons. Excluding the casters who could only do what were told to do.

In most aspects I agree. I always look forward to the Carmack keynote, but it shouldn't be a surprise to anybody that the tournament is why people are tuning in. Why that isn't their primary focus is beyond me. I think the rapha vs dahang match didn't air until 2:00 AM and by then I was falling asleep in my chair.
