I took a very extended version of this test in a psychology class in highschool about 4 years ago. After we took it blindly, we were informed of what it was and what all the categories meant. 27/31 people in the class had different "results" for the second test.

There are no "top notch personality tests". Some or just less terrible than others. Psycholgy is very far away from actually being able to measure "personality".

I've taken MBTI tests of varying degrees of complexity several times. This one seems to be more vague and general than most i've seen, i usually land on the P side when the answers are a little more flexible.

INTJs and INTPs are types most "removed" from social life, so it's not surprising that they'd play an online game seriously enough to comprise the majority at esreality.

Those tests are flawed, people like you buy into them and draw all sorts of sorry conclusions cos some phd from harvard in the last century with so called proven data convinced you that its some kinda of proven formula.

Define sociable, define introverted, or extroverted.

All of those things are dynamic, Extroverts can become Introverts in a heartbeat and vice versa, the only difference is, "extroverts" in the common sense have more opportunities to be that way as the world is geared towards the more common type as that is where the bar is set, but there is no bar if you are smart enough to see the through BS.

Most "introverts" simply have narrower tastes, so there are less opportunities for them to anything else.

Even Judd Nelson got that principle in the Breakfast Club where he was taking the piss out of the math geek going to a math club, by saying its sociable in their own sad way.

I read Carl Jung's book on psychological types, and I can see that this test is correct. These facets of personality aren't obvious in test description, though, and of course unless you read it you're going to lack info on what they actually mean.

I think society and people are a lot more complex these days to be defined with a few yes or no questions.

you might well fit a profile at the end of it that has been defined by the researcher, but I have never been convinced by that way of thinking cos people can and do change.

Jung's idea was to balance out all features in the human being, those which he defined and every other. Like feminine and masculine, yes, he went even that far. Jung considered it possible to bring out the unconscious by purposefully behaving in manners unusual to yourself.

I didn't say I read a book to sound smart, what I meant is that I'm aware of the context of this stuff, like what these four individual features signify (they aren't necessarily what you might think) and what the use of knowing them is.

As for change... People can't even give up smoking, how easy do you think it is to change the whole character?
