Whilst that is pretty funny (and usually the case lol) this time av3k took out blip (kazu took out galang), so they were left with edge. av3k said after the map he had never played it :/

When CPL changed its maplist, CB had just finished the group stages and should have revised their maplist to the CPL list before the playoff's began. Just like changing from xbm to max. Edge games should never have been played when you had Monsoon right there.

True enough, but in eleven Eurocups in various games ive not known them change the map list before.

idd, however, Im stating really that there were/are better maps available and with the break over xmas it was an oppertune time to step back and revise the maplist. When you have to think that these players are training for big money tournaments such as the CPL, I would think its only right for other 'online' tournaments to mimic the CPL to keep a unified and level playing field.

I agree totally, however I think there is also some ego in play here. CB hardly want to go round changing their map pool every time CPL changes theirs do they? Whilst that would help the players and all of us, it would make CB look like they followed CPL's lead and whilst I am sure they wouldnt admit it, they would rather do their "own" thing than take the lead from a rival. Im not saying this is right, its just how it is.

true ofc. But as Blip and Edge were removed mainly because noone liked playing them, it did make sense to listen to the players as a whole and do a switcheroo of the maps.

Id never consider CPL to be a rival of CB tho?

agreed. Will be interesting to see how winz (hardcore aim) versus Kazu (hardcore rockets) will work out tonight.
