I thought scooby would win galang by a frag, because he plays a more methodical game--'playing the angles' as cl0ck would put it. and that's a big part of galang, if you ask me. socrates got a bit unlucky at times; he was gaining some momentum after being down about 4-1. mega at 12:40, he obtained himself a clear advantage and got lamed. I imagine that annoyed him, as it would me. but eventually he gained some momentum. and though making a bad choice to rail at 6:10, when his rail caught on, it was devastating.

...he never talked shit - he never thought he will get this far. As he's my friend, I will defend him, cuz I know that since the beginning he was not considering to even practice before those 1on1 matches - and he didn't. (well, maybe he played few matches, but that's not practice).
Scooby is a TDM player - he played 1on1 in Q2 - yes, but not anymore. He simply played this tournament for fun, and got that far, cuz most of those US players simply suck (apart of socrates, cl0ck & cha0ticz). I'm aswell sure, that if there will be this final match at LAN - us vs eu, America will get asskicked.
yeah, at first i tought he might just be acting sarcastic but I have nothing but respect for scooby now, seems like a real funny guy from all the things itg`syn has said about him and pretty cool of him to say all that at the end (although i think we need more CTF not TDM)
stop saying that socrates was unlucky, people have enough of it ;p
The trouth is, that socrates was LUCKY. His offensive style of playing made him weaker fev times, that's not "unlucky". Scooby plays with his oldschool deffensive/tactic style, created in Q2 - that's why I think socrates was simply lucky, attacking fev times and managing to frag his opponent.
I think that soc had some luck but alot has to do with the fact that he always stays calm no matter what is happening. He has that tournement feel down well. And IMO was a much better q3 player then q4
