A Beautiful Mind did not impress me because it had some hollywood air in it. And the imaginary guy (even if it was just some symbolic presence) was not something very original. And alusions to God or other superior entity were missing if I remember well.
Pi on the other hand was very convincing with the way it represented an obsession (the theories are presented over and over again) also the way the guy in the movie used to avoid any human contact was very nice and finally the conclusion that if your come close to perfection you got burn presented with the mentioned Icarus story was great even if it's smth people heard before.

What the FUCK!?: Down the Rabbit Hole

I just watched "What the bleep do we know?" today and I thought it was way too informal and confusing. Between the overall storyline and the interviews, the smaller stories, philosophical speeches, opinions and actual scientific facts the movie seems to intentionally make it hard to grasp the subject. I liked it but... it's not very good in the sense of giving you a solid outlook on quantum mechanics. IMO they should've nuked that whole storyline with the woman and just focus on the interviews, the animations and deliver the content properly.

Yes, and they should also have taken out half of the interviews because they were made with complete mystics. This movie is terrible.

What I really hate is that science movies usually take an entire field of, let's say, astrophysics and try to fit as much information into 80 minutes with as many colorful images and "meaningful" quotes as possible. As the cinema goer you get the idea, that you just witnessed something deep, but you will never be able to call it your own "knowledge", because in a movie the foundations for understanding are missing.

Science movies - I don't know, they are better than nothing, I suppose.
