Nice, dl right ...now!

edit: Good quality movie. Although the music isn't really to my likeing, it fits very well with the movie.

Seeing quality Q3 movies really sparked my interest in Quake, and eventually made me pick up Q3. Especially Defrag movies really show what a quality game Q3 is. Unfortunately they also illustrate how horribly bad Quake 4 is compared to its predecessor.

Pretty unfair statement. How many movies of this quality were out 5 months after q3 was out. Quake 3 has been tuned and perfected over 7 years. Its kind of silly to compare them tbh.

it's how quake 3 is NOW and how quake 4 is NOW. All those "quake 3 was bad at start" comments annoy the shit out of me. Quake 3 isn't in it's infancy any more. You compare to quake 4 how it is now and not it's potential.

Exactly. When Quake 4 was first released, everybody (although they realised how crappy it was) kept saying Quake 4 has potential. But look where it is now? SyncError basically admitted the game is unfixable (hitboxes ~ breaking the whole game).

Actualy, most of that is how CPMA is it seems, so it really dosn't count =P

I'm not talking about wether movies were out 5 months after the release of either game, just about the quality of the games.

1. Q3 has been fine tuned indeed, but not to the extent that it's a totally different game. Quake 4, on the other hand, really is in need of a total rebuild of the engine to be suitable for multiplayer.

2. Quake 3 is almost 7 years old, which is a very long period for iD/Raven to have learnt from their mistakes. How in God's name did Quake 4 end up the way it is? Did iD plan to make a more realistic (Counterstrike like) game and ended up building that kind of engine? IF so, they really missed the head of the nail.

Mind boggling skill and nice electro breaks to go with it are a joy to watch and hear, but why music from the 5th element in the credits i will never know, try blade runner if you want decent music from a sci fi flick. I bet this sort of movie makes Todd hollinsheads... head swell

I loved the quality of this. The camera work was awesome. And i loved the maps.

Nicely done movie. I liked the creative use of the various camera angles. Music was good, schnifty tricks, image quality was good. Just all around an enjoyable movie.

All I like in the movie:
- DeFrag Skill to the Max
- Speeeeeeeed
- CPM Movement

and dudes a BIG [+] for those who did the awesome maps. I mean these are truely amazing.

Great Movie, the music for the 2nd part was incredible, goes well with the movement and nice fast-paced rocket assists, nice man ;x

The intro feels like something out of a batman movie. I was thinking 'superhero!' when he starts using rockets.

A good watch

Watching this movie reminds me again of how stupid we've been as Q3 community to abandon a great game such as Q3. Sure Q4 has potential, but Q3 has EVERYTHING already. Some new maps to spice the old game up and you have yourself a perfect "brandnew" FPS game.
