Explanation: The lightgun starts firing before the sound and befor the graphics, and continues to fire after you switch gun, without the graphics showing. :|

I have never seen this in q4base (the firing before the sound and before the graphics). The continous firing after you switch is known. But I'm not sure this pre-firing bug is a q4base issue.
Okay it still can happen in 1.1 final, but not the way this video portrays. The attacker always sees his/her own LG stream, no matter how short the burst is. But if you are making just very short bursts, about every 4th to 5th time I can make it hit and do damage without the player on the receiving end be able to see the stream being fired.
Its no where near as bad as it was in that video. They did make some fixes to the LG, so I believe it has been improved, but as I said above it still exists.
Okay, I've reproduced what I've explained above in a demo, shown it to the producers and its been marked as a low priority fix for 1.2. Meaning that it will be fixed, but there's no reason to delay the 1.1 patch for it.
ok cool. the thing is that it has some sort of cooldown before you can switch if you are firing and try and switch... as in when you are not firing and change to rail or whatever it's faster than if you are shooting and switch while firing. is it supposed to be that way? it's kind of sucky. Really sucky.
Altho this may be a bug, it never stopped your lg handy work. Also your didnt consult me about going public with this short movie, If i had known i would have worn my best suit ; )
