once you can instantly tell where the teleports lead to you have the layout worked out.

You just have to concentrate a fair amount, easy to get swept up if you aint on your toes.

It's dead fun, actually.

you should watch czm's demos on that map, you would really be "lost" !

The koddy/pl1 games are far below what these two players can do. Could be cause it was played on fkn 5am.

If you were a 'casual observer', do you think you could fully understand and appreciate a game like in the demo here? Or would you only see a superficial amount of the game? Could you assist the casual observers by adjusting the spectator side of things?

And again, is first-person really the best perspective? Would you like to watch 'Romeo and Juliet' from the eyes of Romeo? The first-person perspective doesn't capture the entire game. It only captures the experience from one person. Doesn't it leave out a lot?

First person POV leaves out a lot in games like CS where there are 10 players in each match. In 1on1, however, it doesn't matter. Every time the players engage in a fight you see the action. In CS you will perhaps only see 20% of the action...

in CS there is no action

you should work on yer shit. say something like "20% out of nothing is still nothing" or something similar. you know, add a funny touch. :p

Actualy i dont think you do =). ESWC 2003/2004 had a better location, better spectator areas. Better hotel, larger range of good players(IMO - spelling...). Better partys! Only thing I can think of that was better 2005 was the food(beeing able to choice from a range of restaurants etc). I think most players would agree with me.

For You, as a gamer, and person who could be there, those events were/could be obviously better. For me, as a passive spectator only, ESWC 2005 was kind of big and last Q3 celebration (maybe for You too), and as well so spectcular and tremendous event of this game. But I agree with You, previous ESWC's were also awesome. In 2004 that big final.. <3 <3 <3

it was great for anyone who wanted to follow it online

seemed like nonstop great matchups with relatively small gtv probs etc

i just watched the "COOL WEAPON!" sequence from cooller's pov (ftp://ftp.ligarena.com/2005/Demos/eswc2005/Qu...3dm6.dm_68) and it's probably one of the most funny events in the q3 history if you know the background to it :D

it's nothing special/secret, but i can't really express it since the bonds created with the clan (and in this case, toxic) during the years are so deep.. i mean, i can really see the satisfaction on his face and on his voice in my head after delivering those rails on cooller :P

anyhow.. as Lith showed with those screenshots, toxic and cooller have a long history arguing about the use of the railgun.. anyone with that basic knowledge would appreciate the comedy of the "COOL WEAPON!" bind used at that point :) especially since it's the game that happened to become their last official q3 duel against each other.. (possibly..)

Wasn't there a story, not sure if it's true or not, about where at prac game during that eswc, before they played each other, cooller jumped on a server with toxic and they were praccing their lg's and after heavily outshafting toxic, cooller said "cool weapon" right before he disconnected.

And then toxic owning cooller with the "cool weapon" quotes made it even more hilarious as he got his revenge. ;)

i have to say that i'm a tox fun and don't really like cooller that much, so i thought tox schooling him on dm6 was funny enough... but yeah tell us....
