May be politically incorrect by TODAY'S STANDARDS, but that's the problem; TODAY'S STANDARDS. He may be a racist pig, but that's because he would want purity of culture and peoples in Europe; and he sees race as part of that. I understand that idea to a certain degree... for example, theres no way I would call the minorities in my country (Czech Republic) such as the gypsies or the vietnamese Czech. They usually dont identify themselves as such either...

I've read a lot about his ideas and don't agree with him (considering I'm also of non-Aryan background i find a lot of it offensive anyway).

I know he's wrong on many subjects. I don't agree with him for the most part but I'd still love to have a discussion with him about his ideology... As for his music... I only have Dunkelheit and I checked the lyrics about that and it was all abstract 'darkness' and stuff... meh.

i used to listen to blackmetal, bought like every fucking underground release which was auspiscious, nowadays i am more into deathmetal, metalcore and progressive stuff and i would say nowadays-blackmetal is just copying and beeing true apart from some exceptions. :(

Nah it doesn't, it's good music to people who love it. You can't say this sucks or that sucks. As long as it's listenable (so not like terror music or some shit), it'll qualify as music in my book.

I would only say it sucked just to piss Lukrek off because he's the type who thinks his opinion is better than anyone elses. Plus, he listens to songs with lyrics that tell you nothing, and then claims lyrics are useless.

I love Mozart, but only because you can hear influences of Baroque in his music. I generally find post 1750 (infact even later period Baroque in some instances) to be annoying.

- Overuse of vibrato in playing & vocal techniques is something which grates my ears

- I prefer the viol family as opposed to the more modern violins, cellos and double basses: beautiful chords and a lovely texture to the strings. Later period strings sound too thin and simple for my taste

- use of harpsichord (before piano took over in Classical and Romantic) is something I love about Baroque as well. See Lute Harpsichord works by Bach for example of sheer brilliance and beauty

- later period music tended to overuse emotion in my opinion. I find it somewhat claustrophobic and generic at the same time

That's a pretty broad categorization. How can you find all the romantics annoying when they are responsible for some of the greatest piano pieces?

On the other hand harpsichord is probably the most annoying instrument I've even listened to; it was even dreadful to listen to the complete goldberg variations in one go.

Not anymore but I used to. But honestly most of that stuff he listed is rather shit. Especially Sevendust and Eminem. Besides nothing is quite so annoying as people saying that they listen to all music or how incredibly ecletic they are when all they listen to are a few mainstream artists. And I wouldn't be moaning like if I were you. I have seen you plenty of times tell everybody that their music sucks and that black metal rules. Usually in annoying caps.

I'm a fan of all kinds of Rock from the beach boys, to slayer. I love KoRn, Lamb of God, Slayer all really hard stuff but also enjoy industrial, techno, and classic rock. As long as its not rap or country i'll listen to it.

Why doesn't everyone respect music for what it is, it's not an image, it's not a life style, it's something you listen to to enjoy.

I lol at people that put all the bands they like in their internet profile like it means anything. Just because they like the same music as you doesn't mean you'll like them at all.

There is some music I don't like and I will never like, or even enjoy in the right enviroment, but I won't condemn a person for liking that type of music. (unless it's country, OMG what the fuck were you thinking!)

I agree that for some people it is a life style, I stand corrected on that, however, it is a very small amount of people rather than "a lot" of people. Generally people posting on internet forums are not touring with bands, doing shit loads of drugs and sleeping with hot (or ugly) chicks every night. I was talking about directly lifting stuff from other genres. Led Zeppelin for example lifted a shitload of blues standards and made them their own(they didn't steal everything of course). There are always influences from others but most decent artists will try to form their own unique sound instead of just stealing everything. Unfortunately most rock music in that era had no such notions.

True, except Led Zeppelin was not the first to portrait that 'sound.' Neither were they the only ones playing that 'sound' at that time.
