FFS when will I be able to watch a demo withouth problems!?
I switched back to q4max 0.73, but q4 crashes when I run the demo.

At least it cleans your hard drive space up!, I checked my quake4 demos directory the other day, and it was 1.55GB, yet I can't play back *any* of the demos. I hope in future software developers learn from this and release utilities to convert demos we wanna keep when the game was first released...

we changed the day before the tournament and practiced it for a whole day. the next day we had a vote and decided it would be unfair to the players who were arriving on the day of the tourney.

:P Actually, nah i probably wouldn't. I was just talking in reference to the way he plays. I'm one to talk, my spawn knowledge is the only reason I win in q3.

One more reason why I love quakeworld. The core maps have not changed since day one, and the few customs (maybe half a dozen worth) never go through such a ridiculous testing phase where every tournament is basically a beta version and sometimes even with ridiculous bugs (hi apo5tol with marshmallow-shooting instead of RL).

Oh, they have *tried* changing the core maps, sure. Put an extra rocket pack here, change a GA with a YA there.

But the community never had it and always rejected them. Theres all kinds of dm6++ dm6a dm6_tournament maps out of there, but everyone still plays DM6.BSP the one that came out in 1996. And its still awesome.
