Hopping around and spamming, trying to spawnrape ...

Is there any skill involved in this cpma mod ... can't find any.
Maybe these guys are just unskilled ... if i watch a demo of a top 10
OSP player an that map, it's simple awesome.

he has a point, I love to watch cpma, and its a good game, but pl1's aim sucked this game, very much..

every game isn't about hitting ~100%. Ofcourse with no aim at all there's almost no chanses to win. But to time every item, shoot rockets / grenades at the right spot at the right time is more about prediction than aim.

I wouldn't go that far, a good OSP player would rip an equally good CPMA player most of the time. Vice Versa aswell.

They're both very different games with different skill sets.

What I meant with "noobish" is that, if you started out with a fast paced game like qw or cpma, it would be alot eaiser to pick up a slower game like osp than coming from osp to cpma. The skill set is different but the main aspects of the game is the same - read, control, and kill your opponent that is 8)

That's rubbish to be honest. Fast or Slow it's all the same and takes time to adapt to both. It isn't 'easier' for either.

I'm sorry but for someone starting at level 0 fast (and more complicated) is harder than slow. OSP is harder because the community and thus talent pool is so much bigger.

What do you want me to do? Hand out questionaires? Logic dictates that if vq3 is x complicated and cpma is 1.5x complicated for someone who knows neither, cpma is harder to learn.

I still think that being #1 in OSP is much harder than being #1 in CPMA due to the community size.

I never said anything about time to learn. There is more stuff too learn in CPMA. That isn't the same as more difficult to learn.

cpma = the mod

cpm or cpm II = the currently dominant ruleset

other rulesets:
pmc = promode classic (100dmg rail, other changes)
cq3 = challenge/chocolate q3 (cpm without the advanced physics)
vq3 = vanilla q3 (plain, OSP-like q3)

The source of confusion is that the initials 'CPM' used to be the name of the mod back when the project begun (before it had multiarena capabilities like RA3). Some people still call the mod CPM cause it's shorter.

PS. hidden bonus ruleset 'polish settings' = pmc from CPMA v1.11 with fastrail and 5s weapon respawn. Bot-like deadly LG and lots of 'kurwa' chat not included but always damn present.

CQ3 = CPMA without bunnyhop+instant weapon switch. You can double jump and ramp jump, it has the weapon stats and armour system too.

It`s a bit overplayed in public tdm, but it's the best map ....
