I messaged Carmac about that once cause I saw him do an interview with Cooller there (with camera etc...). He told me Simonb was going to do the movie and to talk to him instead. So I IMSG'd him but I never got an answer.

If I remember correctly, he lost most of the footage cause of a HD crash...

2004 movie simonb never got around to doing, has been too busy with real life stuff, the footage may have been lost since then in HD crash but it wasn't for quite a while

I would be happy with just the footage of CZM - Z4muz. It's the most memorable moment of Q3 for me :) The crowd went completely nuts when CZM made his first frag.

quake-vid makers should take note of the technical aspects of this movie.. very high quality, standard codec, small file size, none of that .264 bollocks

That's kind of the idea behind .264/x264 - It produces both smaller file sizes AND better quality. Maybe you should read up on that, it is the next logical progression of XviD/x263. You are right about the 'standard' issue though, and playback can be a bitch at resolutions over 640x480 for some with older machines.
