today is my last day of work for this year (YAY!). I have to leave my own apartment in cologne and move back to my parents house tomorrow until my exchange year begins in august.

i've been living own my own for the past four years and felt lucky to be able to have a local ISP and didn't have to get the biggest ISP in germany.

they offered a bigger bandwith for the same price that i'd had to pay for the other one, but more importantly they offered "low interleave" (better known as fastpath in germany) instead of the "normal interleave" that the other one only had. it highly effects what ping you have. with "no fastpath" you wouldn't get a ping below 60-70 or something.

man, i miss the time when i was one of the lucky people over here in germany that could play UT with ping 30 and rape everyone with the minigun :F

but these times are long gone since nearly everyone got fastpath... too bad my parent's ISP still doesn't :< damnit! ok it's just for a month but anyway! they got the cheapest ISP available which is really bullshit imo. the routing is also shit. i used to play q3ctf on .nl xs4all servers with ping 20-30 in cologne. with my parents ISP i don't get a ping below 120 on those servers :< and they also have a 5gb traffic limit that i will have to share with my parents, my sister (no pics!) and my brother. WTF? 5gb for one month? on some days i downloaded 5gb in a couple of hours...

i guess i will have to play some offline games like... well, like... i don't know :( haven't really played any offline games during the last few years. some GTA and NFS:MW though. suggestions, anyone? no RPG's, thanks!
