there are ppl who can handle life with drugs and some who can not. its just the personality of the ppl..

The real problem are the people that don't handle their lives and want you to go down with them.

plus you get a ~15% chance to develop a bad-ass psychosis from weed consumption, depending from your genetic disposition. the problem with weed and most other drugs is that we have yet to find out what they really do to our bodies and what they possibly can do. thinking that there are enough ppl running round ignoring those facts and telling some kids, that weed does no harm at all, just gives me the creeps.

Telling people how harmfull it is when you got no real data to back it up with (as you say yourself) seems perfectly allright for you however

these studies have been around for some time now, on further interest just check any scientific journal on medical research from the last year. to get to your "telling people how harmful it is"- thesis:
my point is that I just don't get it how people seem to be blind to the responsibilty they take by telling other (potentially influenceable) that a certain substance is harmless, based on - if anything - nothing but personal experience.
and on the head in the sand saying: you ended an argument with "plz tx", beautiful indicator for an lack in competence for discussion.

I never said a 14 year old should be smoking weed and whatnot, dont need a study for that that's simply common sense, in the same way they shouldnt be drinking.

But following your line of thought, you should say the same about alcohol, a substance proven to be dangerous , yet everyone and their dog tells their kids its ok to drink as long as you dont overdo it.

I can appreciate your moral qualms and even agree with them up to a certain level , but its all double standard lecturing really for 99 % of 'adults' Hence my reaction to your initial comment , your second one is a lot better since there you use 'substance' rather than a specific example

weed amplifies feelings or moods, so if you're a completely happy person -> absolutely no problem
i used to smoke when my first girl left me and i thought weed would make me happier.. well, i was wrong, it nearly killed me, and i had to recover at least half a year from it, and i really HATED the stuff when i realized it dragged me down so much, so if you're in any type of constant or temporary bad mood, stay away from marihuana







... you can drink beer if you have problems, it kills off feelings and makes you more aggressive than sad, so if you want an easy solution, always use alcohol ^^

I dropped smokin at the end of last summer=) Last smoked in the tropics of Trinidad=) Dropped gaming on the 1st of this month. Played for one day(needed an escape) on the 15th. I'm now 12 days again into not playing video games. Wish me luck=)

and i have a comment to the children topic - my opinion is, dont think about children unless you're completely grown up (mentally), have a good relation to your partner, and a stable life
safe job, safe home..
many people have kids too early

i see it with my best friend, he is 24 and she is 16, they are together for 2-3 years now, but the relationship is far from stable, moved homes 3 times since they're together, and its kinda hard for them at the moment, he is working hard and although he is a person with much natural energy, he is a little depressed at the moment - there is much stress, and even with all the work, there's not enough money at times
she goes to school and helps out with part time jobs, but both are not really happy at the moment

wanting a baby is really kind of a "way out" for them at the moment
like buying new things with money
it's to gain temporary happiness
to distract yourself from reality and your problems
the problem is, it's a short term solution, and it will never solve your problems, it will only distract you from them, and once the distraction is over, the situation may be even worse than before
in the case of getting a baby, well it would be something new, something refreshing, for a few months
after that, it will be a burden for you, and unless you have a really stable life, a burden you cant bear
and who pays for your mistakes? the little guy or girl you set into life
its a sad thing, and i would forbid it if it were so easy, but learn to be responsible, to grow up, you can only do by yourself
you can only give advices or hints, and it's sad that so many people werent given the right advices or support from their parents, and carry their mistakes on to the next generation

Don't be proud yet, i have a long way to go...

The most important thing is, as you say, to learn being responsible. For yourself, for your partner and at the end for the kids.
