I was the main Q4 admin there and believe me that we checked everything and watched players' screens as much as possible. The conclusion is: the spectator mode randomly displays enemy's name on crosshair (and of course, the main screens on stages showed a spectator pov). Ask more details to the Q4MAX team if you need.

I did noticed the spectators are able do see the nicks of the two playing, thats why ask myself "is this happening all the time or only when some particular people are playing". I gues you should answer this one in the first place. Your were the main admin, great, but you are also french. Don't get me wrong man, but to me it's natural for you to defent winz and your employers' event. The thing is, there were people at the same place, who claims that winz actualy used some weird commands.

I trust no one most of the time and seeing how well the known top players get knocked out of the tournament by others, who haven't proved themselfs in any big LAN tournament, is kinda crazy.

I remember what happened last year at the UT 2004 tournament, yet I am talking about Q4 here.

To be honest, I hoped that Cypher can win. This young guy impressed me so much at the event and seemed really nice when we chatted on IRC. It would have been a perfect and well deserved dream for him. Now I can't blame anyone in this tournament (but Ivo's nerves, AND I HOPE YOU WILL READ IT YOU "TÊTE DE VEAU" !!!!) because everything was fair enough.

About cfg's and that spectator bug (which ONLY affects the spectator): ask the Q4MAX team, they're much more qualified than I to give you a proper answer.

Shit like that happens. It is called homefield advantage.

whats the fuzz about configs? to my knowledge there aint any specific commands that makes u play better :) or that u gain a great advantage over the other.. or is there?
only thing that comes in mind is picmip but it shouldnt have any real impact

me also wonders what this config stuff is a bout... didnt everyone play with his own config? were ppl forced 2 play with a certain config?

if u reached a certain level and u play on lan... being able 2 change sens and fov should be enough....the rest should be standarized... just to avoid the config(c) bullshit

Well according to some people (Ztrider) people were seeing items and player names through walls.

just finished watching the demos, wow cypher is impressive, moves aim and agressive style, too bad he lost! guess it was winz sneakyness and luck (prhantic) that decided.

yeh, there is a wallhack command... are u an idiot? all he had was picmip. and infiniteFX, i use different pitch and yaw settings(not 0.022), does that mean that if i attedned a tourney i might aswell play on default sens as i wouldnt b allowed to change stuff like that

pitch and yaw are in the GUI :P

havent pld q4 in a while, but what about mouse accel. i kno u can set it positive, but what abt negative accel, i used that for a while
