we have the best defence but germany atm is stronger imho. maybe only because they are the hosts. but on the other hand i don't know how ours players can react on the football affair here in italy and the tried suicide of their friend pessotto (former national team player).

germany played well but, as i said, italy's defence is the best of the world cup.

in the end we have win but totti was useless for at least half match, a big handicap. i think there is sponsors' pressure to let him play.

toni played very bad compared to his performance in the "serie a".
totti was literally a ghost. del piero, omitting the goal, did some major errors. gilardino did pretty well, that's true. also pirlo did some good assists. but, overall, i didn't see great action.

But the last two lines, you're kidding right? Germany have been falling over all tourny and have definately had some preferential refereeing, as have quite a few teams for that matter.

Germany's diving's not been too bad but I've seen Ballack fall over at least three times holding his face despite not hit in the face. I would say that honours were even on the diving yesterday, the refereeing seemed fine too.

I'm afraid both teams won't be that motivated for the game, maybe some players will even be replaced to give some others the chance to play at least 1 game in this world cup. Still I hope we can win this game high and convincingly to show what our team would be capable of :)
