North Korea's threats and stimulation with a military force to South Korea have been constantly existed since Korea been seperated after the Korea War. But nothing happend during the past 50 years and most of Korean regard current missile crisis as a mean of maintaining their(NK) communist country. So you don't have to concerning about missiles and nuclears. -_-

hmm I don't know what kind of game you are enjoying but WCG Korea preliminary unfortunatly will be held 5 to 6 August . So you can't attend WCG event, so sad for you it's the only large gaming competition event in Korea except starcraft. But if you want to see starcraft progamer you can do it everyday if you want it -.-

And legal drinking age is 20, if you born in 1897 or earlier, nothing problem with going to bar or club and drinking beer or soju(tradition Korea liquor). But even though you are not, it will be not big deal on the condition that you are not looking teenager. we Korean afraid speaking English to foreiner so most of bars or clubs maybe not intend to inspect your age thoroughly.

and you don't worry about how to act, actually South Korea is more mordernized than you thought. Here is not Middle East or something. it's no problem do same when you are in your country.

regarding with mobilephone you would use a global-roaming service. but I'm not sure whether Norweigh-Korea available or not.

And food.. In fact very few korean people eating creatures that discribes in upper hyper-link-_-. Most Korea hate to eat like that. In Korea there are very delicious and variety food. I would like to recommend to have BULGOGI. it is a grilled beef preserved with delicious souce. You will be loving it :)

ahh one thing I missing. Korea in summer is extreamly hot and humid so it would be good if you bring something like a slippers. and 95 percent of Korean can't speak english well >_<

Go to COEX. It is located in Seoul, Samsung subway station of line number two. COEX is a kind of amusement complex, in there you can find the Sejoong Game World or the Megaweb Station. Both these are broadcasting places of starcraft league and other game programs. Before going there you should check a schedule of starcraft league, because sometimes day off.

yes most people in here bad in english unless had lived in an abroad where uses english. korean and japanese language's word order is completely reversed compared with english. so that reason koreans are hard to accept english grammar and way to speaking english, it's either do I.
but you don't worry about it. if you are go to a club, it is piece of cace find someone and hook up. because many korean club girls(i mean not ordinary korean girls but clublover girls)are anxious to relation with foreiners.

how's the weather there at the moment? do you have sandy beaches? how's the night-life there? does teenagers generally go out alot? are there any big clubs? is electronics like cell-phones cheap? other prices, how are they? if you compare to any big european country (if you've been here). here in sweden some examples of prices are a cold beer outside at some place: 4euro, at store 1-1.5 euro, a cellphone like this one (http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&...;pid=10376) costs like 300 euro. going to the theathre costs 8-10 euro etc etc...

im thinking of going there too, a big plus for you! hope to get some more info soon!

i'll tell you only regard to prices

a beer outside at some places : $3 to $5
a beer at retail stores : $1 to $2
cellphone.. it's not good to buy cellphone in here cuz you can't use it which buying from here because something like registration problems are related. and prices is also very high compared with other countries. prices of state-of-the-art cellphones are around $700 to $800.
i've never been to europe country but i thing that other stuffs are not quite diffrent with any other europe countries.

Iam not a master in korean girls ;) but they didn't seem extremely shy, maybe a little though.

Unfortunatly I didn't go to any clubs because I had to attend a dinner at friday and I met some korean students on saturday (they were to hung over to go party with me :()
Not sure if there's much people partying in the weekends, so I didn't bother. Got to taste the local firewater called soju though xD

Food on the table looks kick-ass.
