I remember proZaC saying himself that he thought this was the best game he had played.

Great game, but I think it would be nice if people that post demos like these would make a demo description that allows people that are new to Q3 to put the games into a perspective.
For example, this demo only says "prozac dominates zero4 at eswc 2003", making the not so informed reader think that was generally the case, when the truth is zero4 kicked prozacs ass on dm6 and pt4 afterwards, winning 2-1 and eventually making it to the final vs Cooller.

I remember that game. I dont know how often i watched that demo.

ESWC 2003, i think it was Unkind who was invited to this event and couldnt participate. Then prozac was invited as his sub. He arrived at Paris unprepared as a semi-active player can be. I think he hasnt played q3 seriously for a few months (maybe a year).
Unexpectedly he reached the second group stage where he met the best dueller at that time (besides Cooller).
Although ztn aint Zero4´s favorite map, everyone expected him to win clearly 2-0. But Prozac, rather known for his awesome TDM skills than his duel skills, played his personal best map ever. From mid-game on, he controlled Zero4 as ive never seen it before, even pummeled him in the end
This demo is one of my all-time favorites. Its a must-see.

PS: Zero4 won the game in 2-1maps tho, went on to the finals where he lost to Cooller 1-2.

Q3 Eurocup period of QPO was over imo.

they made a comeback for EC VIII and they reached the final vs IC but that was after ESWC 03

eh. prozac's aim kicks into overdrive in the second half of the game and keeps the pressure on zero4 off of every spawn. i thought it was pretty rude/unsportsmanship-like/unprofessional to basically taunt him during the game by his comments and binds.

yeah i have thought that a few times about prozac and his binds...

Cyrus played with a MS 3.0 at the time and had a smiley in the wheel or in the middle button, right next to zoom. That button and wheel are very light, hence his smiley spam.

i don't mind his smileys but that's just stupid. and not a valid "excuse" at all.

it could be true though. i use an MS WMO 1.1 and my i've got my middle button bound to a smiley. the button doesn't take much to be pressed and during the course of a game, the smiley comes out a lot even when i don't want it.

i don't doubt that it's true. but using it as an excuse is stupid.

well yea it sounds silly but i doubt many people cba to remove their smileys or message binds from their cfgs even if they know that their button is loose. i'm not saying that the spamming was unintentional in this demo but it could happen.

If I remember correctly, that game seems more like a pure ffa fun 1v1 than a serious duel at major tournament.
Was pretty strange.

yeh prozac was outhinking zero4 in some moments and doing things quite weirdly.
he played very passively thorughout.
prozac has an awesome SSG pulls it out in great moments.

Why ? :) I didn't see Zero4 hit his rails, i also didn't see his good movement. On the other hand i saw him being fooled by proZac's movement quite a few times. This isn't the zero4 we're used to watching. Must have had a bad day or sth.

this demo is hilarious. prozac chases after the kill and gives up control of the map, then laughs when zero4 takes the RA + mega. then he kills zero4 in a brutal fashion anyway.

He doesn't chase the kill. He just mistimes the MH totally, tries to cut ZeRo4 off from it, then realises he was too early to go there and tries to fix his mistake only to find that RA and then MH are taken. His intention was clearly to get both items.

prozac is amazing, in the demo you can see he's not trained very well. His movement is very uncoordinated and its also weird how he rj's. On the other hand he mg's & shafts like hell and and lays those imposible rails just like that.

I think he's gotta be just about the most talented and mentally strongest fps player ever :)

I don't think it's a proof of him beeing mentally strong, my opinion is that it only proves he came unprepared, caring more about singing Britney on stage than about his final ranking, and thus killing ZeRo4 for fun.
Cause that's what he was doing : playing for fun. :)
I would go as far as saying that it influenced Z4 too, cause Z4 is caught pretty careless a number of times in this demo. When he tries to get his acts together it's already too late, pro having the upper hand and the comfidence every shot will hit anyway.

playing in a relaxed careless way improves your game no end, ever wonder why you hit crazy shit in warmup? :P i think that was he advantage anyway

can't get any of the q3 demos to work...the demos just freeze after the first frame, even though i can still operate the console...any advice? (got the latest version of everything oc)

Good demo with some funny moments - At about 11 minute Prozac did a big mistake - he let z4 RA and MH but than z4 did even worse mistake when he rushed Prozac in YA room, worth to watch.
