And btw., from the release until June I played Q4 only... guess I won't touch that any soon, maybe give 1.3 a look, but playing with 50+ ping is impossible anyways with that crappy netcode.

idd, same here, had been playing lots of Q4, then Warsow, and now i just wanted to see what the q3 hype was all about, and its true, it is a very fun game, altho very frustrating when you die out of your own plain and simple mistake

giving the warper the advantage is an absolute no no

warpers have no advantage at all. Playing wih low ping is still a lot easier.
Only in cpma it's at least playable with higher pings, whereas in OSP the lpb must be really bad to not completely rape an opponent with like 40ms higher ping.

depends on the opponent... if high skilled warpers get better aim becuz of a netcode that works in their benefit they really just totally fuck up every single game... but then again i havent tried it yet with cpma ..speaking out of experience (7years)

all i know about cpma vq3 atm is that u need like 5000 maps and updates on a daily basis if u want 2 connect to a server properly...its only really accesible for a select group of ppl...dont like that

You need 2 files to unzip and every time an upgrade comes you need one file to unzip. If you can't manage such task then maybe gaming/computer isn't for you. ;-)
And for osp maps and stuff, if you have them in your baseq3 directory instead of osp or whatever directory it uses then you don't have to move anything.

I open ASE, connect to a empty cpma server and vote map+weaponrespawn 5+gameplay vq3 and wait.
Took about 30 seconds, for the first enemy to connect, midgame a second one connected.
Sometimes it might take 2 or 3 minutes, but recently it would fill up rather quickly.

Or I just look at the crowded cpma servers and search for servers with server_gameplay = vq3 (shown in ASE in the lower right window).

If anyone connects, and starts voting for cpm gameplay, I tell him, how much of a noob he is, and kickvote + reconnect :) (j/k)

did the same yesterday, joined an empty cpma server, voted vq3 1v1, waited like 5 mins and someone connected, then it started getting fun, he accused me of cheating and went on to tell me that he will kill me, and i should come to any lan and so on (probably so he can kill me xD).

that really made me wanting to play more cpma xD
