this CPM stuff looks neat, but it's not without bugs.
1) I'm seeing mynx/cpm model in the HUD instead of the Doom/cpm model or sarge or whatever I'd normally see.
2) I hear "Prepare to fight" when a timeout is called (as opposed (or in this case, in conjunction to) to when it is ending).
there were some other things I noticed that I don't really recall at this point.

other annoyances are the choice to put small textual information at the bottom, like "Following:" and chat. it's completely counter intuitive and I bet they do it this way just to be 'different.'
the score also doesn't belong down there, unless it's in large print.
same goes for the upper right information.. very small, even for people with good eyesight, and many people don't have good eyesight, so that's an oversight by the design/developmeant/whatever guy.

The HUD is completely customizable, you can change just about everything to your liking. Look in /cpma/hud for examples and /cpma/docs/HUD.txt for information on how to make one to suit your preferences. Also there are numerous threads on ESR and the forums on promode.org with some sample HUDs that people have created, if you don't want to make your own.

1) because I shouldn't have to expend effort and research a bunch of crap just to make the game work decently? I don't know. that makes sense to me? accessibility and usability should far supercede your ability to customize the game to shit.
most of us just want to get into the game and play (or in this case watch)!

There are 8 huds that come with CPMA (one of them mimicking the OSP hud) which you can use if you're not technically inclined or don't wish to create your own. If you don't like them, there's another million custom huds floating here or in the promode.org forums.

that's not a problem. I understood that, and it's a good start, but (and I haven't looked) I'm gathering from context and tone here that you have to put in some actual effort to get these functioning. there should be an easily accessible and understandable in game menu for this.
