Great gameplay by toxic at placebo , socrates had hit almost all weapons at greater accuracy , and the usual toxic rail aim was off throughout wcg still he made it through great map control, speed and gameplay. Though I cannot forgive socrates for dying with rail out at RA in a close combat which made it 16:16.

was impressed by Socrates pov on placebo, thought one of the turning points could have been a failed rocket charge (cant remember time) but Tox just seemed to anticipate Socrates' aim (not dodging too early).

"pro" generally boils down to whether or not you are able to earn an adequate living off of your profession. this tosses out your rhetorical footballer statement, as they generally play for substantial salaries that they can make a decent living off of. and i seriously doubt the fnatic organization pays this kid, who routinely puts up mediocre results considering the level of competition he's playing at, the ~$50k USD or so a year it would cost to maintain even CLOSE to an average living standard in stockholm. but then again, he probably lives with his parents, so it doesn't matter.

an adequate living? He has allready made $86.500 in 2005 and $16.500 so far in 2006 playing video games. (with a salary on top of that) Seems pretty adequate for a 19 year old to me.

It's actually around $22.000. Combined with his results in 2005 I think it's a pretty fucking safe bet to call someone a "pro" in this scene if he's made more than $100.000 playing videogames.

if you didn't catch the memo, we're STILL talking about q4. there's bums in the streets of new york make more than 22g's a year. most of them still can't afford a decent living in that city though.

no, it isn't. not when they give up what bright futures they might have in the real world to chase all this nonsense. lost cause (love that kid to death) was one of the lucky ones. i remember 3 or 4 years ago when i was living in italy and asked him to buy a $5 mousepad that i couldn't get in europe and send to me. he informed he that he didn't have $5. or a bank acct. and that things were pretty bad in general (he'd given up everything for gaming). luckily, after years of enduring unecessary hardship he found some success. of course, some of this success is much due to his strong work ethic and dedication. but....so is the ruining of so many kids that don't get the luck factor too. i feel so bad for the dozens of others i knew from the same time period that weren't as fortunate and are much worse off now with no foreseable, redeemable future. to say that "...is ok for youngsters" is feeding the affliction/addiction on the path to a dead end.

i mean its ok for "pocket money" but not to give up education etc for it, but to persue a dream for a yr doesnt do any harm, alot of people do that anyways even if its just to travel the world, which pro gamers do too.

you know damn well none of these kids have the foresight or willpower to commit just a single year and then cut themselves off. most of them chase the rainbow 'til they no longer have the capacity to do so anymore (kicked out of houses, expelled from school, etc). normally by that time, it's wreaked catastrophic damage to their lives already.

use demo_enforceFS 1 in q4replay i.e. force media only while playing the demo it would play fine.

You are not using the right eforceFS, I think the one you want is Force Media paks, just click through the 3 different ones I dont recall which one it is.

copy the maps in your q4max folder too
