Some of you have been waiting a long time for this movie and now it has finally arrived. Made by

Corby this 20 minute long 674mb movie features the

Team-Dignitas Call of Duty team. The team that recently got rated nr. 1 CoD2 team by gotfrag.

The movie shows Team-Dignitas attending the

Multiplay i28 and the

Crossfire LAN's.
I do not think that there is much more to say apart from this is a must have CoD2 Movie.

Okay I watched it, good clan presentation.
It could have been a much much better movie, if better music had been used. This was officially the wrong music for this movie. Also that song at 11 minutes is way too loud so that it gets distorted. I also missed the ingame sound throughout almost the whole movie, which is a bummer. I understand why, but it's still a bummer :)
For the rest, I really liked it, good content, some sick kills, good editing, good job :)

ps. Will someone please kill Linkin Park?

680mb for 20 minutes of footage, i love d/ling fragmovies, even from games i don't play, but this is way too much, rather waste my bandwith @ a good 2 hour during movie

try and read about "moviecompression" when you're making a fragmovie

Actually, no.

When doing a 20 minuter movie that has 680mb of filesize, and the movie itself is in WMV, you have missed several good compression methods on the way.

I can also say that the sound sometimes isn't working properly with VLC (haven't tested with wmp).
You should be able to get this movie down to a maximum of 350mb and have the same quality.

i dont think so.. anyways im not having any problems with a 700 mb downloads takes about 10 minutes

well worth it if you get a dvd quality movie with high quality digital sound

if u compress this movie to 50 percent the movie would have less impact..letters wouldnt be as crisp etc...its all in the small details =)

just my 2 cents

Good luck with that. Make 20 minutes of footage from games with action like this, and make it 350MB in size and upload it so we can see. No need for fancy editing, just put some together to prove that you can get it to this size.

I have one movie made from DVI camera and edited, its size is 325mb and 16 mins long. Its de-interlased in the first step to minimize the edgy look of the movie and after that I think I used a 1 pass DivX compression (when divx still was free).

If I had the URL right now I would give it to u, the thing is that I can't find it on the page due to a re-construction.

In the end WMV is teh worst encoder ever to use for a movie.

Filesize is quite big, but it's worth it imo. Finally a cod2 movie with LANfrags only :D Might not have WTFfrags all the time, but overall it's the best cod2 movie for me up untill now.

it's the quality you can expect from a movie with aprox 34mb/min while using wmp codec (.wmv) instead of x264 or smth, it's actually well done.

and you can expect people to have fast connections these days, so they're able to download the movie in under 1hour.

I am wondering why the crossfire LAN is considered as German. I will rather consider it as an NL LAN. Actually I had liked to consider it as a Belgian event regarding the fact that it stems of the support of the community of www.xfire.be (I don't like .nu). Without forgetting the awesome work of Tosspot (regards.).

Now that i'm logged in let me retort.

The site's traffic and staff no longer warrant a .be domain, and Thresh's Xfire program somewhat owns that brand. Crossfire is a more diverse name that dosent have a direct link to another esports product (sure there are crossfire ati cards, but its not the same.) We chose .nu because its all that was available unfortunately.

I appriciate you were just looking for a flag and not a political debate :P

the biggest broadband cable ISP in Belgium has a standard of 10giga/2giga download/upload limits but they do offer 10mbit/512kbit, all the other ISP's in Belgium have 50gig limits but the speeds are 4mbit, i had to choose, this way i keep myself from downloading 700mb for 20 minutes footage

audio: + no techno + no deathmetal + ingame sounds - but only in finals - (although i don't dislike it) a tad too much jayz/linkinpark imo 8.75/10

video: + nice quality - wrong codec/too big 9.5/10

content: + loved the intro + great editing (not overdone and looks proffessional) + documentary style - not enough playercams/faces 8/10

too bad you always have to buy the games to watch matches :\ developers should allow people to spectate games / play demos without cdkey. but i'm not in the mood to buy cs/hl2/cod2/etc just to spec every few months some games :x

That movie surprised me a bit. The high quality was really worth the extra mb's of download IMO. I dont have much linkin park experience (dont think i've ever heard more than 2-3 songs or so) so i didnt really mind the soundtrack at all either. Great action as well. It even had a little story which truly is more interesting than just a bunch of frags put together. Well done Corby, and of course the guys in the vid =)
