more than anything, the column was an indictment of the quake community, because the quake community is the only one that does not play its own game. they spectate, and they bitch. so if someone is bitching about the game choice, but still spectating, their choices have made their stated preferences irrelevant. i also never said it was all about the money, either.

as for me being a pioneer of a new spectator of "esports," you're wrong. i'm not a casual spectator; i do what i do because it's a job.
