Very bad sportsmanship on display by Garpy ( all things considered, perhaps the worst I've seen in a tournament). He is constantly bitching throughout both games. And it's funny because you never hear him complain when he's on a roll and he's only on a roll after annoying the hell out of the other player. Next time If I want to see a game like this I'll just join a public server.

It's probably because they know each other. If I play someone in comp that I know and they own me, I say whatever I want :P At the end of the day they know what you are really like and don't care what you say in one game.

I´m with maniac on this one .. GaRpY is one hell of a nice guy, I haven´t watched the demo myself, but if its going along like "ffs, die you mofo" then trust me it´s just friendly banter and he is having a laugh ;)

nothing wrong in default winning a map you don't like, it's not like he gives the opponent some unfair disadvantage, and if he can win without playing that map it just proves that he's the better player.

Nothing worse than random custom maps in weird cups, that destroys everything : /

plzzz..fix the q4 demo replay..this one made me download pre 1.1 versions of galang and monsoon..why they cant make the demo system as in q3..whats the fucking need of verifying/matching hashes of the pk4 files in the server with that in the demo client ??

hm, what's more interesting is, why do they play on an old version? :)
it would be cool to skip the check (cvar?) at one's own risk. (taken there is a possibility it could be played on an older version)

They did not play old version, it simply was present on the server they play on it ;)

To properly play a demo you need all maps that were on the server.

Hopefully this changes in the 1.4 patch. That is the most annoying thing for someone that likes watching demos.

In fact they never play on real exotic servers so you quickly got all the maps ;)

it doesnot always have to be an exotic server...people beta test new maps and demos from those servers cause a hell lot of trouble..cause u have to find tht map.

I cant help but stating an observation..u can replay all demos from map phrantic with demoEnforceFS 0 i.e. force no media..(which means not all server maps needed) but does not hold for other maps eg monsoon/ galang/ placebo etc..does someone know the reason behind it ?

Why Hate?

All Forever did was play his games and was actually really decent to garpy who was the one bitching and moaning.

These games had nothing to do with ping. The kills that Forever got on gapry were mostly becasue of superior positioning and tactics.

At least save your hate for when someone does sommit' wrong.

There is no hate at all! I am just mentioning the point about not releasing demos for the fanbase. Ofc, it is his choice, however his choice sucks and is not justified.

I blame the admins. They should just record the demos and give them out regardless.
If players do not agree then they should not play.

His choice is justified in the sense that q4 is his game of choice and he wants to make an income from it and give him self the best possible chance.
Releasing demos so his opponents can study his tactics which might cost him a critical game is understandble, though that attitude is far from inspiring. It's one sided.

I think 1.4 will not benefit rail heavy players like Forever and K1ller.

Players should just stfu and play the game!
