While the topic is fresh on my mind, let me ask the people here what they think about the demo from an artistic perspective.

What most people don't know about martial arts is they have very little to do with fighting. In fact, they have little to do with anything physical. True martial arts are about spiritual training. When you hear about the dragon, it is a reference to the martial arts master who has developed such spiritual fortitude, their spirit resembles a dragon.

It is possible through video game technology, in conjunction with traditional martial arts, true martial arts could be brought to entirely new heights. But tell me, what spirit do you see in the demo here?

While the topic is fresh on my mind, let me tell you this story my grandfather told me once. When I say once, I mean it. It was a while ago, and I could be elaborating on it, but only a little. If I do, I apologize. There are others, but this is one I think other people would find most interesting because there may be others who know about this. It's about the lights in Hornet. I don't remember if it's Mississippi or Misourri.

At any rate, at one time my grandfather took a trip to see them. He had heard about them and wanted to see them for himself. He got there-there is apparently a field outside of town, and stood up at the road with other people who had come for the same reason. It was some time after dusk. Presently, an orange globe, like someone carrying a lantern, started bobbing along the horizon.

My grandfather decided he was going to go down and see what it was. Some other people tried to convince him not to go, but he decided he would. He walked down off the road. The feild wasn't totally level, and he had to go down some gullys and when he got to the top of one very close to where he judged the globe to have been, it wasn't there! He looked around, but it was no where to be seen. He walked back, and when he turned back at the road, it was back again!

This made him a little upset. Some of the people asked him what it looked like close up, and he said, "It wasn't there, didn't you see it dissaper and come back when I got back?" One of the others there replied, "No, it didn't go away, it floated right around you the whole time you were there! Are you sure you didn't see it?"

When I was told it, my grandfather swore to me that it was true. I was about five, but it was easy to tell when my grandfather was kidding me. Anyone else who was there when my grandfather was can attest to this. You have only to find them if you don't believe me.

That's a lovely story mate...I'm reckoning there could be 4 reasons why something like that would happen to your g.

1. He was out in a field looking at a big orange ball because he was high.

2. Because you can get away with telling that sort of shit to 5 year olds..?

3. It was something to do with the sun, the horizon, perspective and the curvature of the earth.

And 4. A completely different reason to the other 3 stated above =]

Umm.. Why would that story be unbelievable at all? There are plenty of similar occurences recorded and confirmed.
Most of them have been due to man-made objects (possibly in geological alignment, allowing their existence at certain time intervals and distances only) reflecting or generating light at night time.

For instance, one I've seen on some television show (Ripley's Believe It or Not?) was caused by a train, and one was caused by automobiles on a distant highway. I'm not going to find a link, but I'm sure you won't have much trouble doing so.

While the topic is fresh on my mind, let me tell you about this great great Pizza I had yesterday. It was cracker thin and there were fresh tomatoes, anchovis and capers on it. Puddles of melted cheese on it too. So tender, yet crispy. Simply irresistable.
