The GGL's Michal "Carmac" Blicharz has interviewed WSVG President Matt Ringel over the recent WSVG LANWAR event. Carmac questions Ringel on the tournaments organizational problems, the current strength of the Quake scene, and the decision to lower the age limit. An excerpt is as follows:

Why did you remove the age limit for players for this year? Could you have done it for 2006?

When we determined that Quake would not be one of the games in our television coverage, there was no longer the reason to be restrictive to anyone who had parental consent. We could not have done this in 2006 because we needed to make you suffer a little and beg for it Carmac.
