So here's the scoop:
-Forever winning by 2 vs. purri on Torment with 2 minutes left
-Forever runs to try and waste time
-Purri ties game
-overtime
-purri wins
-this
It's not like it's the first time, afaik, it is as long as I remember him playing. As I already said in another post, there's no room for such behaviour in anything that includes the word "professional".
You need to give away some of your wallets content in any sport for such behaviour.
EDIT: He should get diqualified and banned from any future ESWC.
McEnroe also had thousands of penalties coming and haunt him for his behaviour same as Goran Ivanisevic for his recket throwing antics (and not cheap choleric outbreaks I might add). However it's not like both (and even others) behave like this all the time, on the other hand Forever is always choleric.
sure it's normal to take penalties, and maybe forever should take a blame from eswc ; I was just pointing out that choleric characters simply exist, it's not the end of the world
but he should have picked up the glass pieces (actually that's the only thing I find wrong in his attitude here, cause breaking a glass.. yeah ok big deal..)
Well, I wouldn't agree with this. Breaking a bottle or a glass for that matter is really not that innocent. Those kind of people build this aggression up in seconds, and a wild guess is, if Purri would be sitting right next to him, Forever might have hit him in the rage or even worse, smashed the bottle/glass on Purri.
Go google on cholerics for more information and controlled experiments with them. They are not that harmless when their rage builds up - in fact they are equal to an raged animal for the duration of seconds they are in this kind of state.
Smashing a mouse on the table, or cursing loudly (screaming) is called venting, this is a tad more serious, however what's more worrying is that this is happening to Forever all the time as mentioned above. I really would dare to sit next to him, when he loses a game.
Then, as you mentioned, there's his manners thing, obviously he has also none of those. A shame.
I wouldn't want such players on my toruneys if I'd be the organizer.
I think he didn't give a fuck cause it was just an object, plus with poor money value
I don't see any difference with it and e.g. smashing your mouse on the table, or mcenroe knocking over a tv camera
it's just his way to manage disapointement ; some go sad for hours, he's the kind to just let his anger go on the moment
but again he should have assumed, stayed and cleaned
oh yeah it's absolutely normal to smash a GLASS object with lots of people closeby. how can you even begin to justify this behavior. teach that child some manners ffs.
it's quite obvious that he's got that kind of temper, that's been proven several times already. And no, of course he didn't mean to hurt anyone, but it could've happened, and that's why his behavior is inexcusable.
"but I didn't mean to" is an acceptable excuse for children, anyone above eighteen should better think of consequences before or at least accept those consequences, and those are at least picking up the broken glass.
An this goes especially for those who talk about being professional and about what they deserve.
