btw. major imho, one of the best videos of that style i have seen till now, even beats every get quaked imho.
(and also its the best q2 movie i have seen till now :d)

it doesn't really beat Get Quaked.. the image quality is worse and the editing has a lot of blur and basic effects like lens flairs.

not to mention the horrible skins and custom models used.. there were far better alternatives

well its my opinion, and i dont like get quaked at all (none of the 3) but enjoyed this one very much :)

If we are talking about "this style", you should also watch Polish Frag Festival 2 (almost 30 minutes!). For Quake 2 it is something like Annihilation for Q3. Awesome frags, music, synchronization, edition... Quality isn't that good compared to new productions but it is very decent. For me it is still the best Q2 movie.

Another great production - sYnthesized 2. All frags were made by one player ([sYnth]Scooby). Music is totally different (e.g. Astral Projection) but I like it very much, too (besides last track :<).

Better FPS value (50), nice recams and some fresh ideas (unfortunately crappy sound quality):

You should do that, I've only seen the bubkez one, but somehow it just worked out so nicely, loved the music and the flow in the movie! can't wait to get my hands on some more q2 videos ;)

Yeah I will try but after my vacation and wSw EuroCup final, which means 2 weeks :P

I am thinking about something like list of the best movies with description, stats, opinions from the other players about each movie, download links and streams (although some of them are already uploaded to video google, e.g. PFF 2). Wellwe will see, I hope that I will be enough patient to do that :D

Polish Frag Festival was what made me take the leap from rocket arena to deathmatch and the like.

It is called TLTF in Q2. There is also conversion of Q3DM6 (even in that movie, afaik). Anyway both are not very popular, I haven't seen tltf in any duel league, camping grounds (dm6) are played only on FFA servers.

midair rockets in Quake2 are very rare even on that map because the rockets are so slow.. i don't see anything n00b in those frags

2nd part :D However I like some music tracks from PFF very much (intro with jumps and movie by Music Instructor is already part of Q2 history).

I would love to see new movie from those guys, with even better frags (can be shorter), same synchro, better quality (like actuall Q3 movies), various kinds of music and some new concepts (PFF3?). Unfortunately I doubt that it is possible :(

some of the sickest frags ive seen in fps games, those pixel shooting frags in the middle of the movie were like WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF :D

Hmm i dont agree, i didnt see any, or hardly any really good frags..

afaik, making airrockets is at least 10 times harder in q2 than in q3/q4, so i was quite impressed :x

I know, but some was just splashdamage, not even direct hit, others was in air while two players were hugging eachother and any aim+click will give a hit, some was staged etc. In the end, maybe there was 2 shots that was good.. I know that theres delay on rail in Q2 too, but still not that impressive either.

I must agree, altho i like q2 very much I did not get any OMFG feelings over the frags..

I think I must be the only person who found this boring as fuk cos u cant see which of the long range rails in the first minute hit or not.

I turned it off after about 2 mins. The game is just so god damn ugly even the newer renditions of qw shit all over it.

i found it boring as well, agree on the rails and the gfx, cant blame a game for being old though. Not all games gets developed as far as QW has.

however i agree.. QW graphics customizations surpass anything that Quake2 has atm
