A few months ago I posted asking about Linköping and other places and universities in Sweden.
Well I got accepted for LiU and I am very much excited about it :D
Just a few questions I'm wondering about the uni and city in general.
1) there is a place viewable on Google maps called 'Barracken' slightly north from the main uni grounds. Now to me it looks like a uni bar! cause the photo has a small building with heaps of kegs out back and what appear to be students hanging about - am I right? LOL!
2) what sort of night life is there in Linkoping? I'm into pretty much everything from going to gigs (seeing a band in a pub for you non-Aussies) to clubbing to going to a sports game, schwhatever!
3) has anyone on here lived in the student village? It looks like apartments to me, is it - say, similar to what a dorm would be in the US and UK? I understand that Fox went to this uni? If you know him could you possibly ask him to post here :P
The city looks absolutely beautiful! So green (when it's not snowy :P) but I'm quite sure it will be Spring when I arrive, or soon after (mid-late Jan 2008). Well, hope you guys can help us with those questions!
I'd be keen to meet any of you who could help us out with this sort of stuff when I'm there, smash up a pub or something haha. Meeting new people is always a great experience
