ah ok thanks for the info, i just didnt know this song was as popular as i have now found out, just thinking it was something they did for that preformance and people might not know the origins. guess im just not down with the kidz anymore :(

the preformance in the vid is terribly distorted and im sure thats why it sounds like utter trash to me. having listened to the released version i would say that its not really my bag. the beats are weak and samey and the bass line though kinda interesting at first, wears a bit thin as the tune seems to have no variation what so ever. they should have either kept the tune shorter or should have created some variation aside from the one "hands in the air" moment i noticed. Of course it will be a popular song at clubs just on the sample alone because it has "shout along" value.

As to the original, personally i think simians second album which the song is from wasnt any where near as good as the first and it seems this lack of breakthrough with the album lead to the split and the arise of the completely dire simian mobile disco, which knocks out remixes in a very simular vein as the one justice has made.

Impossible to compare them really though as the sample of the chorus and a vague reference to the original melody in the bass is all they have in common.

so this music is pretty good, can anyone recommend more of this or similar stuff without taking a shit about what defines 'electro' or how daft punk is too mainstream to be cool? ty
